One Year Blog Anniversary!

I must admit I am a couple of days late with this, because, as usual, life got in the way! But let's just pretend it's the 10th of November, shall we? Because on this day a year ago, I started this blog!

Today is a special day in Bluebell Oaks. All around the village celebrations and parties are being held, and later this evening, all the villagers will gather together for one big celebration! It's their one year blog anniversary!

Seven years ago, my collection began when I had some pocket money to spend and walked into a toy store and bought this:

My collection began with the Sweet Dreams Bed. I had never seen Sylvanians before that moment but I instantly loved the tiny detail and intricacy.
My interest for Sylvanian Families really began a couple of months later when my Nana and Poppa gave me my first family for my birthday, the Buckleys.

Things jsut grew from one bed and one family to having a whole village's worth of Sylvanians!

Everyone in Bluebell Oaks got together on my desk to have their photo taken. (Let me tell you, this was no easy feat!)
Please excuse all the stuff in the background!

I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who reads, visits and comments on my blog. You make my collection feel so much more special that I am able to share it, and it's an honour to know that people from all round the world are interested in Bluebell Oaks. The villagers are delighted to be able to share abit about their peaceful little lives.

THANK YOU!

  1. Happy blogiversary, Kelsie! :D
I really enjoy your posts, your pictures and stories, so I hope you will keep writing in it for years to come!

Sounds like everyone in Bluebell Oaks is celebrating, and it's indeed a momentous occasion! Love the adorable nursery party! So many cute babies and details.

Thank you for sharing how your collection started, so sweet of your grandparents to gift you your first family! :)

Love the "family picture" at the end! I also took a similar one of all my figures recently but never ended up posting it on the blog. Maybe I should!

    Have a great week!

  2. Hi Kelsie!
I'm so happy for you and all of your Sylvanians about your one year (as Ayrell calls it--) Blogiversary!! I'm always looking forward to reading more posts and seeing more pictures from you. I hope you continue to post as long as you feel like it, so, no pressure, but I do love your blog and the creativeness that comes with it, and I hope you do keep writing!

My, it's always fun to see someone's full collection! Yours is huge! Congratulations once again. It's amazing to see how much your blog has evolved and grown throughout the years. Have a lovely week and a great day!
    With love,
Emilie and the Maple Cats (who enjoyed looking at your pictures with all of the families on your desk, but Millie commented that it was probably a bit squished for the babies! Hehe :D)

    1. Thank you Emilie for your lovely kind comment! It really made my day! It's so encouraging to know that you enjoy my posts and stories!
Don't worry, I don't plan on stopping writing anytime soon! I know sometimes I don't post for awhile because I'm busy with school and stuff but I'm always thinking about my next post!
My collection certainly has grown abit! Millie's right, it was rather squishy for everyone, and I'm afraid a few of the couples up the back fell off the edge more than once! (They were quite unharmed though!)
Have a lovely rest of the week! :)

  3. Happy anniversary Kelsie!
Though I just discovered your blog a little while ago, I look forward to your posts, they are so amazing, I hope that you will continue to post for quite some time more.
I can certainly relate to sylvanians quickly multiplying, their detail and cuteness sort of just sneaks up on you! You have quite a collection now, your photo is very impressive. I can just imagine how annoying it must be if one critter falls over and knocks over like five others. Hopefully that didn't happen to you! Thank you for sharing your collection with us.
Good like with science tomorrow, Emily

    1. Hi Emily! Thank you so much for your kind words! Your compliments are so encouraging!
You're very right about Sylvanians! They're just too cute, aren't they?
Unfortunately, there were quite afew Sylvanians up the back that fell off or over and knocked others down with them! Or everytime I bumped my desk they all came tumbling down, haha! Very frustrating!
I hope science went well for you! I found it to be not as bad as I had expected! Good luck with the rest of your exams! :)

  4. Happy blogiversary, Kelsie!
Sorry for not responding sooner, but this time real life has been pulling me away this month. I always enjoy your posts so I couldn't let it pass much longer. I love your "crowd scene" (the population growth can by scary sometimes!) and the nursery celebration is great too. The little headbands on the babies are so cute!
All the best to your Bluebell Oakers!

    1. Hi Jackson! Thanks so much for your comment! It really made me smile! And don't worry about your respond, it wasn't even late! I completely understand how life just gets in the way sometimes!
I agree about the population growth! Sometimes it just seems to sneak up on you and all of a sudden you have far more critters than you bargained for! There's been abit of a housing crisis within my sylvanians for years now, haha!
Of course the babies at the nursery were delighted for an excuse to eat some yummy food and wear their headbands!
It's such an encouragement to hear that you enjoy my posts, so thank you!
      Have a great week ahead!

Thank you! It's so nice to hear you like my posts! I enjoy blogging too so I plan to keep it going for a long time!
The villagers had a great but very busy day celebrating! Although some of the babies and younger children were starting to get abit grizzly after having to pose for so long for the last photo! I don't blame them though! It took a long time!
Thanks again for your lovely comment!
